Miss B's Tea Rooms at 34A Market Place in Melton Mowbray (above Lanterns clothes shop) was featured on BBC Radio Leicester's tea time show on Wednesday 11 April 2012 after gaining the Tea Guild's Award of Excellence 2012.

You can listen to the 8 minute feature on BBCiPlayer until next Wednesday 18 April. It begins 1 hour 44 minutes and 40 seconds into the show.

Owner Louise Bushell told Karl Cooper

  • "We're absolutely over the moon. I set my sights on having the standards good enough to go into the Tea Guild - we did that last year."

"And then this year we've got the Award of Excellence which puts us right at the very top, amongst all the big ones as well - so really proud."

Melton Mowbray People users seem to agree, with a number of positive reviews on the site, including sjhall who wrote:

  • "I love the shabby chic tea cups and tea pots that the delish tea comes in. Why does tea taste so much nicer when drunk from pretty tea cups sitting chatting with friends at a table with a tablecloth and tea plates? I was born for this....."
