A stylish new garden centre cafe and bistro is re-opening following a fire which damaged almost a third of the buildings at the popular Cherry Lane Garden Centre in Bradmore.

At the time of the fire, the new Wellington's Cafe & Bistro had been open less than four weeks following an extensive refurbishment and rebrand of the centre's previous cafe. Now customers are being tempted back with a mouth-watering selection of food and drink as the owners work to fully restore the new cafe and bistro. Customers will also enjoy a fantastic 20 per cent discount on the new lunchtime menu.

Rob Darby, Proprietor, Wellington's Cafe & Bistro, says: "In the short time after we re-opened as Wellington's we quickly built a really positive reputation with people living in and around the area for great food and drink in stylish, modern and comfortable surroundings.

"Thankfully the damage caused by the fire was to fixtures and fittings and not to people. It has focused all our efforts to get Wellington's back on its feet and I'm delighted to announce that we're once again open for business.

"Wellington's is a brand that's breathing new life into the cafe culture of garden centres. We're more akin to a cool cafe bistro that you might come across in some of Nottingham's more upmarket suburbs. Our customers really loved it so it's great to be back and we're very much looking forward to building on our offer over the coming weeks and months to give our customers a really special dining experience."

The Wellington's Cafe & Bistro brand is being rolled out in partnership with QD Stores.  QD Stores is an independently owned chain of value retail outlets situated throughout the East of England and the Home Counties and which also operate nine Cherry Lane Garden Centres.  The first new Wellington's opened on 4th March in Tickhill (near Doncaster), the second on 22nd April in Bradmore and a third is opening on 5th August at Potterspury on the A5, near Milton Keynes.

Cherry Lane Garden Centres re-opened its doors after months of installing new and updated facilities with extending parking on May 6th 2013. Less than three weeks later the centre was hit by the fire on 21st May 2013.
