My wife and I have been going to this cinema for over 6 years, we love how personal and friendly the environment there is. It's a much better experience all round when compared to the bigger cinemas and it's right on your doorstep, a great asset to Melton. Brilliant!

The Regal Cinema is located right in the heart of Melton Mowbray.
The cinema is also popular with and in easy reach of Oakham in Rutland, and all nearby villages in Leicestershire.
The cinema is independently owned and has one screen dedicated to showing the very latest movies at a price that's resonable.
So if you're planning an evening out in Melton Mowbray, then why not grab a box of popcorn and settle down to a movie in our state of the art cinema.
Our cinema is definitely on the things to do in Melton Mowbray list and will be enjoyed by all ages.
It's great to have a cinema on our doorstep - run independently by a local family. Whilst it's only got one screen, the featured film - usually the latest blockbuster - changes most weeks, and they often show a different children's film during the day at weekends and in school holidays - which is great for keeping the kids entertained.

ReportIf you haven't been to The Regal you must go there. It's much nearer than Peterborough, has more current films than Stamford Arts Centre (which is also lovely) and is old fashioned enough to provide great service and refreshments that don't cost a fortune. And you don't have to queue up with a bunch of tattooed yobbo's and screaming kids - not that you get this at the Arts Centre. Before you trek to a cinema check what's going on at The Regal. You can book online and park directly opposite. Please don't ever change!
Regal cinema is a local theatre that has been going since 1934 and family run by the Merryweather’s for 10 years. The single screen venue on King Street is fully digital, showing the latest film releases. Unlike your every day franchised cinema’s, the prices here are relatively cheap too, with films showing for £4.95 before 7pm and only £5.80 after.

ReportLove having a cinema in town that has up-to-date features.
I miss the interval ice-creams though! What happened to them?!

Can't fault this place for what you pay. It always manages to show good films. Whenever I have been its been clean and for a cinema the food prices aren't too bad either.

This family run cinema is a real asset to the town. Whilst it can't provide the facilities of a multiplex, what is does offer is a friendly personal service at a fair price. Tickets cost around £5-£6 each - a huge saving on the price you'd pay in one of the city multiplexes, and you don't have to drive miles either. They also have regular children's matinee films in school holidays, which is a great way of keeping the kids entertained.
